Is guided surgery right for me?
One of the variables surgeons analyze in their diagnosis is the amount of bone the patient has. Ideally, the tissue should be at least about 5 mm wide and 10 mm high, so that osseointegration takes place correctly.
If the patient does not have enough bone, it will be necessary to perform a regenerative treatment beforehand or resort to other techniques. Our specialists will inform you about the state of your dental health.
What advantages does Zoom teeth whitening have?
Our surgeons review the patient’s oral health and draw up a diagnosis in which they determine the number of implants that are needed to carry out the oral rehabilitation. The doctors also assess whether guided surgery is viable in that patient’s case.
Once the assessment is done, we will take a digital X-ray and intraoral digital impression to develop an exact digital model of the anatomy of the patient’s mouth.
Using specific software, the surgeon uses a previously created digital model to generate a completely exact planning of the placement of the dental implants.
Since it is not necessary to open a flap to examine the bone, stitches will not be used in most procedures.
During the surgical procedure, the surgical guide allows us to perforate the gum to a lesser extent, perform a minimally invasive surgery and considerably reduce the duration of the operation. In this way, post-operative recovery time also becomes shorter and more comfortable for the patient.
In addition to computer-guided surgery, at the Brånemark Las Palmas center we also have technology to carry out treatments with navigated surgery. This system allows us to reduce implant placement time even further and have absolute control of the dental burs, even when they are inserted in the bone

Recovery after guided surgery in implantology
The recovery process after guided surgery for implant placement is generally faster and less invasive than that of traditional surgery, thanks to the precision of the technology used. However, it is important to follow certain care instructions to ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of complications.
The initial healing usually lasts between two and three months, depending on the patient’s general health and the amount of bone available for osseointegration. During this time, the patient may experience some discomfort, but it should gradually subside over time.
At Brånemark Las Palmas, we guide you throughout the entire postoperative process to ensure that your recovery is fast, safe and comfortable.
